US president Donald Trump said his administration has “achieved great development” with Ukraine and Russia in recent days. The video related statement on Thursday, March 6 published the White House.
“We have achieved great development with Ukraine and good development in Russia in recent days. And it would be great to reduce these two together so we don’t have to talk about nuclear weapons this way,” Trump said, in response to journalists’ questions, if the US would remain a “nuclear umbrella” for European countries.
“Ukraine has to go to a peace agreement, because it has no choice. I also think Russia wants to end an agreement because of a certain way – and I only know why – they have no choice,” he added.
After that, Trump expressed the opinion that it would be great if all countries had removed nuclear weapons. According to Trump, Russia and the USA have the largest nuclear arsenals, and China can reach the same level for 4-5 years.
