Who are the wind traders?

In the first two films of the Avatar universe, the skies of Pandora were explored through the Ikrans, creatures similar to dragons that the na’vi ride to hunt, travel great distances and of course, as a help during battles. However, a new way of enjoying the top of this fictional moon is promised in “Avatar: Fire and Ashes”, the third movie in the franchise.

It turns out that new peoples that will be presented in the sequence, and one of them will be the wind traders, which have the air as an element that guides their existence as they move with the wind. Also known as Tlalim Clan, they are described as nomadic traders who travel through Pandora in gigantic jelly-like creatures that support their merchant ships.

“[Os Wind Traders] They are nomadic traders, equivalent to Spice Road camel caravans in the Middle Ages. And you know, they are just fun. Like all na’vi, they live in symbiosis with their creatures. If you have nautical blood in your veins, you will want to be on the ship [deles]”said director James Cameron, in an interview with Empire magazine.

An interesting point on Wind Trades is that they will have aquatic styles that make them remembered as pirates, even though their spirit is more like those of circuses, as stated by the costume designer of “Avatar: Fire and Ashes”, Deborah L. Scottthe empire.

“They are optimistic, happy, colorful and when they enter our movie, everyone is excited to see them. It’s like the circus is in the city. ”

Still on the connection to the sea, the flying creatures of the Tlalim clan, whose name has not yet been revealed, are similar to Portuguese caravels, as they are colored in-blue and have right tentacles, such as real-world animals.

As much as it has a charming look, the Portuguese caravel can cause great damage to those that are chopped by it, which may indicate that wind trades can hide a great power under their colorful visuals. However, it is not yet known what the role of these people will be to the history of “Avatar 3”.

Finally, it is worth mentioning that this clan will be guided by Peylak, played by none other than David Thewlis, actor of films such as “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban” and “The Boy of Striped Pajamas”. The character has even had a preview of his revealed look, which shows it with an orange cover with colorful applications that bring lightness and grandeur; look:
