In a recent video shared on his Instagram, Dr. Jimmy Mohamed reveals the key allies to strengthen your immune system against viral infections.

Winter is here and with it the march of viral infections that can quickly take a toll on the body and therefore the energy. In one of his latest videos posted on his Instagram page on Saturday, January 4, Dr. Jimmy Mohamed, a general practitioner and television columnist, reminds us about the importance of maintaining our immunity when we are sick, particularly by using certain products.

Beekeeping products

Bee products have many health benefits, such as propolis, a residual resin from foraging, whose antioxidant properties help soothe sore throats and fight viral infections, among other things, says the general practitioner. There are several ways to use it: break small cubes and chew for 10 minutes or even take a few drops 2-3 times a day. “It burns the throat a little, but it is effective and scientifically proven by,” says Dr. Jimmy Mohamed. Propolis also exists in capsule form and can be used during illness or to prevent winter ailments.

Speaking about beekeeping products, we should not forget honey, which is also certified with anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial effects, reminds the general practitioner. “One of the best honeys available is Yemeni honey, but unfortunately it is very expensive,” explains the general practitioner.

Plant essences

Do you feel like your energy is fading from day to day? Treat yourself to Echinacea Remedy This medicinal plant, widely used for its immune-boosting properties, “reduces the number of sick days and helps you avoid getting sick.” It can be found in pharmacies or organic grocery stores in the form of capsules, leaves or mother tincture.

Another plant that is highly valued in aromatherapy for its antiviral and antibacterial properties is ravintsara, the leaves of which come from the camphora tree, a native of Madagascar mixing it with honey,” explains the general practitioner.
