The contract between the girl group fromis_9 and PLEDIS Entertainment officially ended this Tuesday, the 31st. The agreement, which began in 2018, came to an end today, marking the end of an important phase for the group. PLEDIS released a statement on November 29th, thanking fans for their continued support and detailing fromis_9’s latest steps under the company’s label.
The announcement confirmed that, after in-depth and long discussions with the group members, it was decided to end the contract amicably. Formed by Lee Sae Rom, Song Ha Young, Park Ji Won, Roh Ji Sun, Lee Seo Yeon, Lee Chae Young, Lee Na Gyung and Baek Ji Heonfromis_9 has gained a large fan base since his debut and achieved success with songs such as “Talk & Talk”, “DM”, “Stay This Way”, “#menow” and “Supersonic”. PLEDIS also highlighted that the group’s members have always dedicated themselves to the maximum and brought a variety of charms throughout these seven years of activities.
Farewell single
As a farewell, fromis_9 released a special digital single on December 23rd, titled “from”. The song was created with the intention of expressing the members’ gratitude to their fandom, Flover, who has been with them throughout their entire journey. The track, which featured Hayoung in the composition and the collaboration of all the members in the lyrics, it is a letter of love and affection to the fans. In a statement, the members stated:
“We poured our hearts into writing this song as a letter to Flover. We hope our sincerity reaches you and warms your hearts this winter.”
