After the NewJeans members opened a new independent Instagram account, ADOR issued a statement on the matter
On November 28, NewJeans members announced the termination of their exclusive contracts with ADOR, the HYBE subsidiary responsible for forming the group, after both companies failed to respond to their demands for better treatment in the workplace.
Since then, the quintet has continued its activities independently, fulfilling all of its previously planned agenda. At the beginning of December, ADOR filed a lawsuit against Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin and Hyeinto guarantee the validity of the contract. The case is still ongoing.
With their departure from the agency, to communicate with their fans, the group opened a new Instagram account (@jeanzforfree), managed by the five members, who update the Bunnies (their fandom) daily about their commitments, in addition to sharing funny moments daily. .
What did ADOR say about the new account?
This Wednesday, the 18th, ADOR issued a statement commenting on the new page created by the artists, asking them to return to using only the accounts created by the company.
“NewJeans has dedicated platforms created specifically for communicating with fans, as well as official social media accounts such as Instagram and X (formerly Twitter). ADOR hopes that the NewJeans members will continue interacting with fans through these official channels as they have done so far,” the note says (via Koreaboo).
It is worth remembering that, although Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin and Hyein have announced that they are no longer part of ADOR and that they will pursue their careers independently, the social media accounts dedicated to the girl group created by the company continue to be updated daily.
In the comments of the publications, it is possible to see fans criticizing the company for still keeping the accounts active, in addition to providing support to the quintet. Among them, Bunnies have commented things like: “why are they still posting here 😭”, “stop posting this, they are independent now”, “JEANZFORFREE🐰🐰💕💖”, “NEWJEANS I PROMISE TO LOVE, SUPPORT AND FIGHT FOR YOU FOREVER! NEWJEANS WILL NEVER DIE”, among others.
