Danielle, a member of NewJeans, shared a loving message for Min Hee Jin, former CEO of ADOR, in the group’s new profile
The “jeanzforfree” Instagram account marks a new chapter for NewJeans. This is because, after ending their contract with ADOR, the girl group members chose to use a profile on the social network that is not linked to the former agency, revealing the account as a space to share their fresh start.
It is worth remembering that the group has recently been the talk of the world, after terminating contracts with ADOR and HYBE, alleging bullying, breach of contract, breach of confidentiality and stating that the company failed to protect them. In response, ADOR countered these allegations by issuing statements arguing that NewJeans’ unilateral termination of the contract was unjustified. Since then, many legal actions have been taken by both parties, in addition to the return of the Min Hee Jin, former CEO of ADOR, with companies and rights under group.
The conflict between the producer, HYBE and ADOR began in April, when she was accused of helping ADOR become an independent record label. At the end of August, after a legal dispute lasting around four months, ADOR announced that Min Hee Jin would step down as CEO, but would continue working with NewJeans as an internal director. After that, the five members of the group made an anonymous live broadcast on YouTube on September 11th, asking HYBE to put her back as CEO by September 25th. Two days later, Min Hee Jin asked for an injunction to return to her position as internal director, and the decision was accepted.
On November 20th, Min Hee Jinwho had returned to her role as Internal Director, announced that she was leaving the company for good and also breaking her relationship with HYBE. This caused a great commotion on social media, especially due to the negative reaction of the girl group members, who showed that they were close to the former CEO.
