5 things to know about Disney’s live-action film

Prequel to the 1994 animation and the 2019 live-action, “Mufasa: The Lion King” premieres later this month; discover some facts and curiosities about the film

2. Who is Taka?

Taka is Scar’s real name, the one who becomes Mufasa’s greatest enemy. The name Scar (scar, in Portuguese) came about, according to the work “A Tale of Two Brothers”, after the lion was hit by a herd of buffaloes while trying to damage Mufasa’s image with his father, the king of the jungle.

4. Who are the voice actors for “Mufasa: The Lion King”?

Barry Jenkins is responsible for the direction while Jeff Nathanson signs the script, but the plot could not take shape without the voices, so the original cast has Aaron Pierre to voice Mufasa; Kevin Harrison as Scar/Taka; Beyonce giving voice to Nala; Blue Ivy Carter interpreting Kiara’s dialogues; Donald Glover like Simba and John Kani voicing Rafiki.
