‘Moana 2’ opens today in cinemas across Brazil

SHE’S BACK! This Thursday, November 28th, ‘Moana 2’, the long-awaited sequel to ‘Moana: Um Mar de Aventuras’, directed by David Derrick Jr.

In the new adventures, Moana, voiced by Any Gabrielly Here in Brazil, he returns to travel the seas on an impossible mission to save his people and reconnect with the Pacific, after receiving an unexpected call from his ancestors. Moana will have a new tribulation to face unknown antagonists. Among the new characters, the audience meets the protagonist’s younger sister, Simea; The god of storms, Nalo, and of course, the return of Maui, the demigod voiced by Saulo Vasconcellos.

In an interview with the American press (Via Walt Disney), the film’s screenwriter, Jared Bushhighlights the protagonist’s relationship with her youngest sister, reporting the relationships between adults, whether parents or siblings, with young children. It emphasizes adult decision-making that can impact the lives of minors, but also strengthen the bonds between them.

“I love Moana’s relationship with her little sister Simea [dublada por Khaleesi Lambert-Tsuda]. For those of you who are parents or caregivers who have had to have difficult conversations with a 3-year-old who may not understand the imperfect choices you have to make as an adult, this was [uma dinâmica] that we all feel really connected to. Moana’s love for her little sister, her care for her and the specialness of that relationship is something I think a lot of people will identify with and fall in love with.”

It is worth remembering that Disney previously planned to produce ‘Moana 2’ in a series format, but they decided that the public would prefer to see the long-awaited plot on larger screens.

“We realized it was such an epic story, on such a grand scale, that we thought, ‘People are going to want to see this on the biggest screen possible’”
