NewJeans reveals whether it will work with Min Hee Jin again after leaving ADOR

This Thursday, the 28th, NewJeans held an emergency press conference to announce its departure from ADOR, after the agency and the conglomerate that subsidizes it, HYBE, did not respond within the stipulated period to the content certification the company sent by the group requesting the rectification of significant breaches of exclusive contracts.

During his speech, Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin and Hyein exposed that “HYBE and the current ADOR are not demonstrating any willingness to make reforms or listen to our requests”, claiming that ADOR “does not have the will or the ability to protect NewJeans”, in addition to revealing that they and their team they suffered “mistreatment, numerous impediments and contradictions, deliberate miscommunication and manipulation in several areas”.

“[A ADOR é] A company that no longer has any sincerity in the art of music, be it creative and fixated on appearing to be a company that works well, despite only thinking about making money and not being aware of the negative effect it creates through its inauthentic means.

This is not the type of work we respect or want to be a part of, and continuing to work for a company with no intention of protecting NewJeans would only hurt us. This is why the five of us agreed to leave ADOR and to express ourselves clearly before misleading information is released,” explained Hanni during the press conference.

After releasing questions from journalists, the quintet was asked whether, with the termination of their contracts, they had already spoken to Min Hee Jinformer CEO of ADOR and responsible for creating the group, to work with her again, as the artists have also expressed this desire.

In response, Minji and Hyein highlighted that they have not yet had the opportunity to talk to Hee Jin separately, however, they believe that “she shares the same thoughts as us”.
