In a recent interview, an actor who participated in ‘Joker 2’ did not express positive opinions about the film; check details
In a recent statement, actor and comedian Tim Dillon expressed his dissatisfaction with the result of “Joker: Delirium for Two”,directed by Todd Phillips.
During an interview with the “Joe Rogan Experience” podcast, Dillon, who made a brief appearance in the feature film as a security guard, did not hesitate to classify the sequence as “the worst film ever made”.
According to Dillon, after the success of the first “Joker”, debates arose about the film’s reception, which would have been appreciated by groups considered inappropriate, raising questions about toxic masculinity and nihilism. For him, the creative team would have decided to go in an opposite direction in the sequel.
I think what happened is after the first Joker, there was a lot of talk like, ‘Oh, he was loved by incels! He was loved by the wrong people! The film sent the wrong message! Man hate! Nihilism!’ and all kinds of similar thoughts. And I think they said ‘What if we go in the opposite direction?’ and now they have Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga dancing their heads off,” Dillon explained.
‘Terrible’
Dillon shared moments from the recordings where, alongside his colleagues who played Arkham Asylum security guards, they questioned the coherence of the narrative.
“The movie has no plot. We would sit there, me and the guys who played Arkham security with me, and we would listen to all this nonsense and think ‘what the f*** is this?’, and some of them would say ‘this is going to be a bomb, man!’ I say ‘That’s the worst thing I’ve ever seen’. We were talking at lunch and I was like ‘what’s the plot? in prison’. It’s not worth watching even out of hate. That’s how terrible the film is”, continued the actor.
With mixed reviews, ‘Joker: Delirium for Two’ can be watched in Brazilian cinemas. In addition to the return of Joaquin Phoenix, the film features the debut of Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn.
