In a recent interview, Jin also revealed that the track “I will come to you” is a song dedicated entirely to his fans, and that he wrote it alone in about a day or two after being discharged from the South Korean army. According to the star, the inspiration for the song came from the thought “I… will be there soon. I will leave this place soon to get to you, so please wait for me”, and that much of the lyrics came from ideas he gathered during his military service.
“When I was serving in the army, I really wanted to go home, work and meet my fans. So I decided to take my time and made a huge list of different ideas. And starting the day after my layoff, I wrote the lyrics to my fan song. It was the first time I wrote lyrics for an entire song, but I did it in just a day or two. I put it all into one song. It’s called ‘I Will Come To You’. I filled the music with my desire. ‘I…will be there soon. I will leave this place soon to get to you, so please wait for me.’ That’s where it all started. 30% of the lyrics are ideas I wrote in the army.”
