In a new interview, the former CEO of ADOR, Min Hee Jin, made new allegations about the legal battle between her and HYBE
The battle between the former CEO of ADOR, Min Hee Jin and the HYBE conglomerate led the businesswoman to speak to the portal Joy News 24 (via TimesNow), where she alleged that the legal actions taken by the company since the launch of an audit on April 22 were based on “petty revenge”, as that arose after she directed criticism at public figures at HYBE, implying that the purpose of the process would be to intimidate and silence her.
In the interview, published this Tuesday, 5th, she also stated that HYBE’s allegations against her are like an “invented story”, in addition to accusing the conglomerate of obtaining personal information about her illegally.
Finally, Min Hee Jin revealed that the emotional and financial cost of the conflict has been borne by her so that she and the group she set up when she was chosen for the position of executive director of ADOR, NewJeans, are not blamed for things they did not do.
The full statement has the following translation:
All of HYBE’s allegations stemming from this illegal audit are completely fabricated, like a made-up story.
HYBE widely publicized that an audit began on April 22nd, but the questionnaire they sent out on the 22nd was full of irrational content and low-level questions based on personal information they illegally obtained. Shockingly, this implies that they had already illegally accessed and acquired personal information before the official audit even began. This is not a private investigation agency — how on earth did they acquire someone else’s personal data without consent, before the audit even began? It’s honestly scary.
So what was the reason for carrying out this illegal audit so suddenly? It seems like they decided to hit me with this petty revenge audit because I openly pointed out and criticized the various problems and irregularities of Chairman Bang Si-hyuk, former CEO Park Ji-won, and Belift Lab CEO Kim Tae-ho in front of HYBE’s entire executive team and board of directors.
I have endured this difficult and harrowing struggle for several months at my own expense for two main reasons. First, there is absolutely no reason why I or NewJeans should be the scapegoat for HYBE’s irrational and malicious actions. Second, I hope that exposing all the misconduct and atrocities that HYBE has committed to the public can lead to a complete reform of this rotten organization.
I sincerely hope that we become a society where money and power can no longer cover up mistakes.”
