At the Fort Stavart military base in Georgia (USA) on Wednesday, August 6, there was a shot at which five American soldiers were injured. The shooter was jailed, CNN reported.
The commander of the 3rd Infantry Division, Brigadier General John Lubas told publication Kvornelius Redford, a sergeant holding a position in the field of automatic logistics, was the suspect. He served as part of the 2nd Combat Brigade.
Lyubas said Redford had no experience in participating in hate.
He added that the motives of the suspect’s behavior were not yet clarified.
“But he was investigated by army investigators, and I think we will receive more information,” the general said.
According to the commander, all the injured are in a stable state and, according to doctors’ forecasts, will be recovered.
Fort Stuart is the largest US army base in the East of the Mississippi River, where thousands of soldiers of the 3rd Infantry Division are located and their family members.
