One of ARMY’s most beloved places no longer exists! Discover the setting of BTS’ ‘Spring Day’ video, which was demolished
ARMYs — as BTS fans are called — who live in South Korea have the opportunity to see up close and whenever they want several places that are part of the group’s history, such as the old Big Hit Entertainment building that has housed the septet since the trainee era until 2018, or even places that served as the setting for the formation’s projects, such as the bus stop at Hyangho beach that can be seen on the cover of the album “You Never Walk Alone”.
Still, there is a place that became important for the fandom and the group that no longer exists, as, as reported by the Koreaboo portal, it ended up being demolished.
Does it no longer exist?
The location in question is Iryeong station, located in Gyeonggi province, which served as the location for the recording of the “Spring Day” video, released in 2017. It is seen at the beginning of the MV, where V appears standing on the platform that is covered in snow; remember!
The station had been closed long before the filming of the clip, as it was deactivated in 2004. After the release of the song on YouTube, tourism to the place increased, but the presence of fans and onlookers was not enough to reactivate it, making with it being demolished, as echoed by a fan on X (formerly Twitter).
The revelation emerged on November 1st, where user @roxyinthesoop shared an image where the station appears marked with yellow signs, employees wearing green vests and excavators in the background, accompanied by the tweet: “Today I went to visit the “Spring” train station Day”, but unfortunately I arrived too late”; look:

As a result, fans expressed sadness on social media. @thvsnaz wrote, “We got lost omg. I wanted to visit it one day,” while @Ms_97_OT7 said, “One of the places on my ARMY bucket list. It’s truly heartbreaking.”
“Seriously, the local government should have fought for it to stay or relocated at least. They could have generated income from it. Sometimes I wonder what the majority of South Korea is doing,” wrote @soleilannemarie.

In Brazil, the reaction was no different; see some tweets:

They demolished the train station from the Spring Day MV, apparently when I have money to go to Korea I won’t have tested any tourist attractions related to BTS hahaha
