The crime drama Rhinoceros by Ukrainian director Oleg Sentsov, who is now defending the country from the Russian aggressor, has received the Grand Prix of the Lubusz film festival in Poland. In this regard, Sentsov thanked the Poles directly from the front for their comprehensive assistance and support to Ukraine.
The director recorded the video message against the background of shelling sounds.
“I myself, and the entire Ukrainian people, are very grateful for the support of the Polos, who have become our true brothers and sisters, who support us in this difficult time, when we have a very strong enemy. With such friends, we will definitely win! I am very happy to know that our film “Rhinoceros” won the festival in Łagów.I am in your beautiful city, and it is one of the best places in the world I have ever been.I was there with my first film that “Gamer”, which received a special prize, But now “Rhino” received the main award, and for me it was very pleasant, because many people from Poland worked on this project, ” said Sentsov.
He also listed everyone who helped make his cinema.
Remember, Rhino won the Stockholm Film Festival in Sweden and received two awards.
