We’ve got our fantastic writing team in place and they’re doing what they need to do,” explained Dungey. “And casting calls have opened in the UK and Ireland, so the process is moving forward. It’s going really well. It’s an unbelievable dream, honestly, and as someone who’s a huge fan of books, the opportunity to explore them maybe a little more deeply than you can in just a two-hour movie, this is it. the reason we’re on this journey.”

Cast
The new project will feature an unprecedented cast. Currently, the team responsible has already started the search for the child stars who will give life to the famous Golden Trio, composed of Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley, with auditions being held in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
About the casting process, Channing Dungey explained in an interview with Variety that the hardest part is “the first two books, where the children are younger, around 11 or 12 years old”. So far, no actor has been cast in the roles.
Furthermore, another big question among fans is whether the series will feature the presence of some names from the films’ original cast. For now, no participation is confirmed.
