Min Hee Jin, presented new and alleged plagiarism allegations from ILLIT in relation to NewJeans during new legal hearing
This Friday, the 11th, the former CEO of ADOR, Min Hee Jinpresented new evidence of ILLIT plagiarism in relation to NewJeans. During another hearing at the civil division of the Seoul Central District Court, which assessed the validity of the injunction against HYBE’s decision to fire her, the professional presented new documents obtained through an informant. His legal representative stated:
We recently received a shocking tip from a tipster. This informant also gave us a document containing the NewJeans and ILLIT project proposal files, asking us to compare the two proposals.
The tipster, who is affiliated with BeLift Lab, revealed that the NewJeans proposal was shared among the team to be used as a ‘reference’. They were impressed with the NewJeans proposal, but when comparing it to the ILLIT proposal, they were shocked by the similarities.”
Since the beginning of August, Min Hee Jin has been fighting in court to return to her role as CEO of ADOR, claiming that the decision to fire her violated her shareholder contract and was carried out ‘against her will and without her prior consent’.
Before leaving the label, she was responsible for the activities of the girl group NewJeans, which has been suffering an alleged boycott from HYBE since the situation with Min Hee Jin escalated, with no releases or future activities scheduled for the group since then.
According to South Korean media (via allkpop), the Seoul Central District Court is expected to reach a decision regarding Min Hee Jin’s allegations soon.
