This Wednesday, 9th, HYBE commented on the absence of Jungkook, from BTS, at the Super Bowl 2024 after an invitation from Usher

This Wednesday, 9th, HYBE commented on the absence of Jungkookby BTS, at Super Bowl 2024. According to The New Yorker Magazine, the idol was invited by Usher to perform alongside him singing the remix of “Standing Next To You”, but had to decline the invitation due to his period of mandatory military service.

After the reveal, fans of Jungkook Negative comments began to spread towards HYBE because, according to them, the company was ‘sabotaging the idol’s career’ without consulting him before denying Usher’s invitation. Some even urged the departure of Jungkook of HYBE on online forums (via Koreaboo), which prompted the label to respond to the profiles.

Through a statement in the Ilgan Sports newspaper, HYBE said it ‘has nothing to say’ on the matter, without commenting on ARMYs’ comments.

At the moment, Jin is the only member of BTS who was exempt from mandatory military service, leaving last June. The next one to return to the idol routine is J-Hopewhich is already counting down the days until its release on October 17th. Already Jungkook, Jimin, V, Suga and RM they should only return in 2025, with the group meeting again only in the second half of the same year.
