Check out some short films released by Pixar that every fan of the studio needs to watch
Over the years, Pixar has stabilized itself in the animation market due to the launch of major feature film franchises, such as “Toy Story”, “Monsters Inc”, “The Incredibles”, “Finding Nemo”, “Inside Out” and much more.
However, in addition to long-running films, the studio is also known for striking short films, which can feature new stories or new adventures of some famous characters, presenting plots that range from comedy to reflection.
With that in mind, RECREIO put together a list of 5 Pixar short films that every fan needs to know. Check it out!
1. Mike’s New Car
Derived from the “Monsters, Inc.” franchise, in “Mike’s New Car” Mike Wazowski buys a new car full of utilities after becoming the company’s most successful laugh collector. Now, he and Sulley just need to get used to all the vehicle’s abilities — but it might not end up working out very well.
2. Your Friend the Mouse

Presented in the form of a documentary, “Your Friend, the Mouse” presents Remy, from “Ratatouille”, alongside his brother Emile, showing reasons for humans to respect mice more, using different animation formats.
3. Zezé’s Attack

Have you ever wondered what Zezé, from “The Incredibles”, did with his nanny Karen while his parents and older brothers were trying to defeat Syndrome? This is exactly what we discover in “O Attack do Zezé”, a plot that explains the real reason why the caregiver is so exhausted taking care of the little one, and does not hesitate to hand him over to the villain, without knowing his true nature.
4. Hawaii Vacation

About to get its fifth feature-length film, the “Toy Story” franchise also has some memorable shorts. Among them, we can mention “Vacation in Hawaii”, where Ken plans a trip to Hawaii with Barbie, but everything ends up going wrong. Therefore, to help their friends, the other toys decide to recreate the landscapes in Bonnie’s room, generating iconic moments.
5. Luxo Jr.

Originally released in 1986, “Luxo Jr.” is a must-see production for every Pixar fan. This was because this was the studio’s first short film, responsible for presenting the lampshade and yellow ball that became trademarks.
