Creating animations for more than 30 years, Pixar was responsible for developing several stories that, in addition to being full of details, have been part of the lives of studio lovers for years, as is the case with “Ratatouille”, “Monsters Inc”, “Brave”, “Toy Story 2” and “WALL-E”,
However, although the narratives experienced by the characters are already widely known, there are still many peculiarities and curious facts about these productions that may be unknown. With this in mind, RECREIO brought together five of them in the list below; check it out!
1. Ratatouille
The production of “Ratatouille” may have been more work than you imagine! In order for the dishes prepared in the animation kitchen to be as similar as possible to reality, each meal was real and photographed so that the animators could replicate them in the scenes.
2. Monsters Inc.
It is true that the number of doors contained in “Monsters, Inc.” may impress lovers of the animation starring Mike and Sulley. However, the sequence gets even more exorbitant as the portals to the children’s bedroom closets were made from different combinations of 26 paint colors, 12 door styles, 8 wood tones, 10 decals, six doorknob models and 3 types of hardware.

3. Brave
“Brave” brings a historic milestone for Pixar, as it was the studio’s first film with a castle, causing the production team to visit and study several buildings like these to develop the feature film.
Furthermore, Princess Merida’s house, DunBroch Castle, was created completely from scratch, with all the elements ranging from the architecture of the place, to the walls of the walls built using 3D models on the computer.

4. Toy Story 2
The popular animation about dolls that come to life had its production process developed over many hours, given that the maximum animation time completed in a week was 5 minutes and 42 seconds, a fact that led the animators to paint the car in Al for over a month.

5. Wall-E
It’s no secret that “Wall-E” keeps several unique objects inside the truck, however, the quantity exceeds three digits, reaching an average of a thousand items developed by five modelers and five experts in the shading technique, who seek to bring notion of depth in drawing through colors.
