See who should be the next among the 25 NCT members to enlist in the South Korean army after Jaehyun
On Thursday, 26th, SM Entertainment issued a statement announcing that Jaehyunmember of NCT, will enlist in the South Korean army on November 4 to perform his mandatory military service, where he will serve as an active-duty soldier in the Army Band.
“NCT’s Jaehyun has applied for the Army Band and received a notification of acceptance from the Military Manpower Administration today. Consequently, he is scheduled to enlist as an active-duty soldier on November 4 to fulfill his mandatory service,” the company said in a statement (via Soompi).
After the news was released, the star sent a message to fans through the Bubble app, where he reassured the NCTzens and assured them that he would be back soon.

You may be surprised by the sudden news, but I’m going to enlist in the army in November. I want to express my feelings to NCTzens soon.
If it weren’t for this work, I would never have been able to experience the precious memories with the fans, our precious relationship, and the depth of love, and I am grateful for that once again.
I have always followed my own pace and I am very grateful and love all of you who have always trusted and walked by my side.
Even though I say I’ll be back soon and will only wait a little while, I will definitely miss you all.

With your enlistment, Jaehyun becomes the second NCT member to enlist in the South Korean military. The first was leader Taeyongwho began his mandatory service in April of this year, enlisting in the navy.
However, the announcement also raises another question among fans: who will be the next members to enlist?
NCT Enlistment
It is worth remembering that, currently, NCT has 25 members: Taeyong, Johnny, Yuta, Kun, Doyoung, Ten, Jaehyun, WinWin, Jungwoo, Mark, Xiaojun, Hendery, Renjun, Jeno, Haechan, Jaemin, YangYang, Chenle, Jisung, Zion, Riku, Yushi, Daeyoung, Ryo and Sakuya.
Among them, 15 are foreigners and, therefore, should not enlist in the South Korean army. Thus, in addition to Taeyong and Jaehyunthe boy group will still have to send eight more members to the army, with the forecast is that the next ones to present themselves to the Armed Forces will be Doyoung and Jungwoo, according to NME magazine, as they were born in 1996 and 1998, respectively.
This is because in South Korea, men must enlist between the ages of 18 and 28. The enlistment period varies according to each area: active soldiers in the Navy and Army serve for 1 year and 9 months; those in the Navy for 1 year and 11 months; and those in the Air Force, social work or international cooperation for 2 years.
