Paris Kure Bazaar house. more than a nail salon, a real place to live

The pure nail polish brand has found its home in the heart of Paris and reveals a place where hospitality reigns supreme.

Upstairs, workers are still setting up the huge antique marble table, while the cafe counter waits patiently at the entrance for prospective customers to come through the door. Only the polishes (including the new Remarkable Therapy Cosmetics range) are already in place, housed in vintage furniture specially selected by the brand’s co-founder Christian David. It was the latter who welcomed us a few days before the opening scheduled for Fashion Week. “I think we have found the perfect location, in the heart of Paris on rue Saint-Honoré, between the gardens of the Palais Royal, the Comédie Française, the Opéra and the Louvre. And even the Cartier Foundation tomorrow.” Therefore, the Kure Bazaar house settled on more than 200 m² to offer itself its own “living space”; it’s where teams and clients will meet for manicures or coffee.

Above all hospitality

As Christian David argues, the key word for place remains hospitality. His purpose. Do good with good. Therefore, the place is meant to be welcoming, like an address where it’s good to meet friends. Everything is designed like a home, every piece of furniture has been chosen for comfort but also to adhere to the brand’s DNA.

Of course, we will find customized beneficial protocols to care for and beautify hands and feet. But Kure Bazaar wanted to go further by offering, for example, meditative, philosophical or literary manicure sessions. Artists will be on display regularly and the room will host medicinal and aromatic plants. Something to offer instead of a winter garden look.

The cups pay homage to the two lions that adorn the historic facade.

Combining the beautiful and the good

To enhance the experience, Kure Bazaar in collaboration with the teams at Alain Ducasse has also envisioned essential oil cakes. You can also taste the pastries of Gérald Auvres (artisan baker who grinds his ancient grains in his shop) and specially created for the place. As for drinks, there are herb-infused cocktails and coffee from Arbre à Café, an artisan roaster and BCorp certified mission company. Two lions on the cups complete the illustration for the occasion; “They are the ones who decorate the building,” emphasizes Christian David, who invites us to look up to view the historic facade before walking through the door.

Open from September 23rd, Maison Kure Bazaar is set to quickly become one of our go-to destinations for getting our nails done while treating ourselves to a real wellness break.
