Through representatives, Min Hee Jin responded to ADOR’s statement, accusing the company of lying in part of its statement.
On the morning of this Wednesday, the 25th, ADOR issued a statement (via Soompi) responding to the demands made by the members of NewJeans in a live on September 11th, where they asked the company to rename Min Hee Jin to the position of CEO of the company until the 25th.
In a statement, the agency stated that it called an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders to rename Hee Jin as an internal director, but that the board of directors judged that “the request for her to return as CEO is not acceptable at this time.”
After the release of the statement, Min Hee Jin also spoke through his representatives, where he said that his reappointment is still uncertain, in addition to accusing the company of lying in part of its statement, in addition to mentioning an interview released this Wednesday, where the reporter Jang Hyung Woo reveals an alleged phone call he received from HYBE downplaying the girl group’s achievements in Japan — information that has already been denied by the conglomerate.

“Hello,
This is Marcol Consulting Group, responsible for media communications in collaboration with SHIN & KIM LLC, representing former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin.
This morning, ADOR’s board of directors resolved to convene an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders to discuss the reappointment of former CEO Min Hee Jin as an internal director. However, as the appointment of internal directors is decided by the major shareholder, HYBE, it is currently uncertain whether Min Hee Jin will be reappointed.
Meanwhile, ADOR’s board of directors announced on the morning of September 11 that they had proposed Min Hee Jin to take over production at NewJeans for the next five years. However, while there was talk of extending the contract period, there was no sincere proposal to remove numerous toxic clauses that were in the draft, such as unilateral termination rights. The phrase ‘compromise proposal’ is nothing more than a play on words.
Min Hee Jin is wary that extending her term under a flawed contract would not guarantee NewJeans’ normal activities as artists. Therefore, she has clearly expressed her intention to return as CEO and requested a concrete contract from HYBE that reflects her sincerity. She feels great anger at the repeated media screening before any negotiations, with no agreed details about the parties involved, the duration, or the authority.
This morning, it came to light that HYBE has been engaging in media activities to undermine the achievements of their artists. It is suspicious what they are trying to hide by making a sudden statement today and whether they are trying to create a rift between Min Hee Jin and NewJeans. As you know, HYBE has always initiated an incomprehensible media stunt and then issued another statement to cover up the truth when it is revealed.
The authority as CEO is a necessary demand to have the right to defend against various unreasonable actions of HYBE, including what was disclosed today, and considering that there is no reason for his removal as CEO.
We are deeply angered by ADOR’s repeated lies to manipulate public opinion and are saddened by the resulting harm to artists. We hope that ADOR’s board of directors will show integrity by engaging in sincere negotiations rather than playing games with the media. We also strongly demand the reinstatement of Min Hee Jin as CEO to ensure proper achievements for artists.
Thanks”.
