In addition to the trilogy in theaters, the Sonic franchise will gain a new animation! Announced by SEGA this Tuesday, the 24th, through the release of a trailer, “Sonic x Shadow Generations: Dark Beginnings” is the title of the production, which will be released in series format, whose inspiration comes from the game “Sonic x Shadow Generations”. As reported by the MeuPlaystation portal, the three-chapter series is a prologue, and will focus on Shadow, a character who will embark on a journey to discover more about his past while dealing with the return of an evil force that he thought he had already defeated.
The new title, announced in an exclusive SEGA broadcast, will be released in three parts, with the first episode scheduled to air this Wednesday, September 25. Meanwhile, the second and third episodes will premiere on October 3 and 10, respectively.
At the same online event held by the Japanese video game developer and publisher, a poster for “Sonic 3” was released, a film that hits theaters on December 25. In the image, Shadow appears on a motorcycle in reference to Kaneda’s braking in “Akira”; check it out!
It is worth remembering that the game “Sonic x Shadow Generations” will be released on October 22 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch and PC and will include exclusive content inspired by the anime.
