The Wooga Squad is one of the most charismatic friend groups among South Korean stars, bringing together Vfrom BTS, the rapper Peakboy and the actors Park Seo Joon, Park Hyung Sik and Choi Woo Shik. In addition to fame, the dynamic between the members won over K-pop and K-drama fans around the world, raising the burning question: how did the five actually meet?
Since they are all from the arts, then of course they also ended up becoming friends through the entertainment industry. It all started when V was cast to star in his first acting role in the drama “Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth” in 2017. Following the announcement, the remaining cast names began to be released, including those of the actors Park Seo Joon and Park Hyung Sik.
As professional colleagues, the three quickly established a friendly relationship, with Park Seo Joon even helping V with some acting techniques behind the scenes of the recordings. Eventually, with the stars getting closer and closer, Park Seo Joon decided to present V and Park Hyung Sik to his longtime friends, Choi Woo Shik and Peakboythe first being his co-star on the sitcom “Shut Up Family” in 2012, and the second being a former classmate during their freshman year of high school.
Since then, the Wooga Squad has become a kind of ‘friendship goals’ for the artists’ fans, who follow the updates through social networks, mainly on Park Seo Joonwho has already published several photos with friends.
