Former BLACKPINK Creative Director Supports NewJeans on Social Media

Amid conflict between former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin and conglomerate HYBE, former BLACKPINK creative director stands in solidarity with NewJeans

After Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin and Hyeinmembers of NewJeans, held a surprise live broadcast last Wednesday, the 12th, criticizing the new management of HYBE and requesting the return of Min Hee Jin to the position of CEO of ADOR, the former creative director of YG Entertainment, who worked directly with BLACKPINK, SINXITYsupported the quintet on social media.

As reported by the Koreaboo portal, through the Stories tool on Instagram, he posted a screenshot of the live broadcast and wrote “Stan for” (support for, in adapted translation), and tagged the profiles of NewJeans and Min Hee Jin.

It is worth remembering that both the stories of SINXITYas for the live broadcast held by NewJeans, they are no longer online. In the case of the girl group, the live broadcast held on a secondary YouTube channel was done independently by the idols, and removed shortly after it was finished.

In the live, they criticized HYBE, stating that the way the company has been operating “is not correct and moral”, and that they now see the conglomerate as an “inhumane company”, in addition to requesting the return of Min Hee Jin to the position of CEO of the subsidiary agency, ADOR, “until the 25th”.

This is because, after months of conflict between the businesswoman and HYBE, after the conglomerate accused her of conspiring to make ADOR an independent label, Min Hee Jin was removed from her position as CEO of the agency, and the position was taken over by Kim Joo Youngan HR (human resources) specialist. With the change in contract, it was also established that she would produce NewJeans for only two more months.

More than that, the group also complained about the way they have been treated after the clash between the company and the businesswoman. “We are more than aware that this is hindering our work and that we should be treated much better than we are now,” they said. Hanni in the live.

The case Min Hee Jin X HYBE remains open.
