HBO has announced the casting for the main roles in the Harry Potter series

The studio is looking for young actors to play the main roles – Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley.

American television channel HBO has announced the casting of children for the new Harry Potter series. This was discussed in the channel announcement.

Only children aged 9-11 years who are residents of the UK or Ireland can take part. Anyone interested has to submit two videos. In the first, the candidate had to recite a short poem, and in the second, he had to talk about himself for a minute.

The announcement noted that all applications will be accepted until October 31. Filming of the series will take place in the UK in 2025, with an expected premiere in 2026.

It was previously reported that the Max streaming service will release the Harry Potter series in 2026.
