New York Fashion Week has barely begun, and the streets of the city are already filled with fashionistas. Exclusively on September 6, models, designers and journalists gathered not in front of a fashion show, but gathered for a show. Several players in the textile industry took advantage of Fashion Week to encourage citizens to go to the polls in the American presidential election in November. While leading the march, Anna Wintour was spotted holding a megaphone, chanting the words “Vote!” repeatedly.

A white crew neck design with ‘Fashion for our future’ written on the front and ‘Vote’ in big letters on the back. The message on the front of the shirts is the name of this political march, made possible by the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) and the non-partisan organization I Am Voice. Obviously with the support of some big names in fashion like designers Tom Brown, Michael Kors and Ulla Johnson.
