Amid the conflict between the former CEO of ADOR and the agency’s parent company, HYBE, SES’s Bada expressed concern about NewJeans
Amidst conflicts between the former CEO of ADOR, Min Hee Jinand the agency’s parent company, HYBE, which end up affecting the NewJeans group, Badafrom SES, made a publication on Instagram stories in support of the group formed by Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin and Hyein.
In the post in question, the idol, who belongs to the first generation of k-pop, shared a video of a song composed by Hanni accompanied by a brief text. Read the translation:
My heart really hurts… How much pain must the members and fans be feeling? Can’t the adults be wiser and more benevolent so that these children, who are just beginning to dream big, don’t get hurt? These lyrics and melodies written by a young singer (Hanni) who has just realized her dreams are tugging at my heartstrings… Praying for an incredible miracle to happen for them.
It is worth remembering that this is not the first time that Bada shows concern for NewJeans. This is because, in April of this year, when the public clash between the businesswoman and the company was still in its early stages, she shared a snippet of the MV for “Bubble Gum” with a message of support for the group, also using the stories tool, as reported by the Koreaboo portal.
Even preparing an album alone is difficult; how hard it must have been for these young friends to prepare while being raised in a complicated adult business… Our junior idols… will all go through many difficult times, but those beautiful times will never come back. I pray that you overcome, grow, and be happy as yourselves. All the junior idols in K-Pop are amazing, and I support you.”
The HYBE X Min Hee Jin Case
On April 22, HYBE revealed that subsidiary ADOR would undergo an audit after suspicions that members of the agency were trying to make it independent of the parent company, and that one of those involved was Min Hee Jinuntil then, CEO of ADOR.
At the same time, Min Hee Jin accused Source Music (another HYBE label) of plagiarizing the NewJeans concept with ILLIT’s debut, claiming that this was the real reason why HYBE wanted her to leave her high-ranking position at the agency. The latest chapter in the dispute revealed that Min Hee Jin was removed from her position as CEO of ADOR, and that, with the new contract established, she will only produce NewJeans for two more months.
Furthermore, with the change in management of ADOR, which now has Kim Joo Youngan HR (human resources) specialist, in the position, the director Shin Woo Seokresponsible for the production company Dolphiners Films, which produced the MVs for “Ditto” and “ETA”, will no longer work with the agency and, by extension, with the quintet.
