Difficult childhood

Aryola Dedaj was born in Tirana, Albania in 1981. According to OMAR (Observatory for Rare Diseases), the athlete has suffered from retinitis pigmentosa, a degenerative genetic eye disease characterized by gradual and progressive loss of vision, since the age of 3. leading to blindness.
