TWICE’s Dahyun Cast as Lead in Romance ‘You Are the Apple of My Eye’
Starring Dahyunby TWICE, the k-drama ‘You Are the Apple Of My Eye’, a homonymous remake of the Taiwanese romance film released in 2011, got its first teaser in the early hours of Tuesday, the 3rd. In the plot that brings messages about maturing, Dahyun will play Sun-ah, an exemplary student at a private school and the character who is Jin Woo’s first love, played by the actor Jung Jinyoung (Love in the Moonlight), a young man who has difficulty assuming and revealing his feelings for her, as reported by the TeenVogue portal.
The original version of “You Are the Apple of My Eye” follows the growth of Ko Ching Teng (Chen Tung Ko), a high school troublemaker and Shen Chia Yi (Michelle Chen), a model student, showing the two’s journey into adulthood, 15 years later.
It is worth remembering that the new version of ‘You Are the Apple Of My Eye’ is directed by Cho Youngmyoung (The Preparation), and marks the second independent acting project ofDahyunsince the idol debuted as an actress through “Sprint”, a film directed by Lee Seung Hoon (The King and the Clown), which presents the story of Kang Goo Young (Ha Seok Jin), an athlete who broke the Korean 100-meter record for the first time in 30 years, but who is not satisfied with his life.
