Despite the great success of “Hannah Montana”, Miley Cyrus has already revealed that her routine did not reflect the glamour that the series portrayed.
The resounding success of Miley Cyrus is largely due to the productions in which the artist starred on the Disney Channel. Among them, the most iconic is “Hannah Montana”, a series that followed the life of a teenager who, during the day, was an ordinary girl, and at night transformed into a pop star.
As much as the series was much loved among young audiences during the 2000s, Miley has already revealed that her routine while recording the episodes was very heavy and exhausting for a child. Through a series of videos on TikTok while promoting the single “Used To Be Young”, from the album “Endless Summer Vacation”, Cyrus shared her schedule from that time, where it is possible to see that the actress worked around 12 hours a day:
5:30 a.m.?! I’m probably 12 or 13. Friday, January 5, 5:30 a.m.: Hair and makeup at my hotel. 7 a.m.: Picked up. 7:15 a.m.: I’m on the news. 7:45 a.m.: I have another live interview. 8:15 a.m.: Another interview. 8:45 a.m.: Another interview. 9:30–11 a.m.: Meeting with editors, back at hotel.”

Although the morning already seems tiring in itself, Miley revealed that there were even more tasks to complete in the afternoon while working for Disney:
OK, I have to do an interview, but the reporters are all fifth graders. 1:00-2:30: My dad and I have a lunch interview. 2:40: We have to go to the Life magazine photo shoot. 3:00-5:00: Interview and photo shoot for the Father’s Day issue. Get there at 6:00 for the online interview with the kids, then at 6:15 we have another interview. Then the next day it all starts at 7:00 and ends at 7:30, when I go home to probably go to the ‘Hannah Montana’ shoot. That’s on a Saturday, and then I’m back at work in the morning on Monday… I’m a lot of things, but lazy is not one of them. So I think this girl deserves an ‘Endless Summer Vacation.’”
During the visit of his younger sister, Noah Cyrusin Brazil last May, the singer commented in an interview with UOL that the intense exposure she and her family faced due to fame had a profound impact on her. Just like Miley, Noah was just a child at the time:
Growing up with that exposure sucked. Now it’s gone, right? I wish my childhood had been a little more sheltered (…) I had to work on loving and not hating my younger self. My face was online, and people were so cruel to me, when I was at an age when they shouldn’t have been. That was the most painful thing.”
