In the heart of the capital, around the Jardin des Tuileries basin, the singer Zaho de Sagazan was chosen to open the artistic program of this crazy evening. The 24-year-old French singer sang the timeless French song classic this Sunday, August 11. Under the sky of Paristo mark the extinction of the Olympic cauldron.
The song marked the departure of the Olympic flame from the Jardin des Tuileries, carried by swimmer Leon Marchand, who won four gold medals.
Zaho de Sagazan, who took four musical victories at the beginning of the year and sang at the opening of the last Cannes festival, was accompanied only by the choir of the Handel-Hendrix Academy.
Under the sky of Pariswritten for the 1951 film of the same name, was performed by some of the greatest voices in French song, including Edith Piaf, Yves Montagne, Juliette Greco, Sacha Distel, Mireille Mathieu, as well as Zaz, Enrico Macias and Line Renault. The song is a hymn to the capital city, its people and its inhabitants.
