The official title of ‘Avatar 3’ has finally been confirmed! At D23, held last Friday, the 9th, in Anaheim, California, United States, it was revealed that the third film in the franchise created by James Cameron was titled “Avatar: Fire and Ash”.
The announcement was also shared on Avatar’s social media, where the title appears in the art that reveals the official logo for the sequel and the film’s official release date: December 19, 2025; see:
It’s worth remembering that ‘Avatar’ premiered in 2009 following Jake Sully, the human who enters the alien world of Pandora where the Na’vi live, and ends up discovering a new place to call home. The first sequel, ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’, was released in 2022 and introduced the Metkayina, the water clan, whose narrative intertwined with the Omaticaya tribe, which appeared in the debut film.
This is because, in the plot, Jake Sully formed a family with the Na’vi Neytiri, and after an ancient threat resurfaces, he will have to find a safe place for his children and wife to live while he wages a tragic war against humans.
