Netflix has confirmed that it will produce and distribute an animated series based on the Mafalda comic strips by cartoonist Quino
Through a Netflix event held in Argentina, in Buenos Aires, the streaming platform confirmed that it will produce and distribute an animated series based on the cartoons of the character Mafalda, by the cartoonist Quino.

Mafalda and her friends not only made me laugh a lot, but every now and then they would send me to the dictionary. And each new word I learned came with the reward of a new laugh (…) It is our duty to preserve Quino’s humor, timing, irony and observations. We know that we will not be able to elevate Mafalda because she cannot be elevated any higher. But we dream that we, who have dedicated ourselves to her from the very beginning, can share her with our children, and even if there are things reserved only for adults, we can all laugh out loud as a family, and why not, go to the dictionary from time to time.”
The series does not yet have a set premiere date, however, while Netflix does not release the date, it is possible to enjoy Mafalda’s stories in the official book that brings together all of the character’s strips, entitled “Mafalda — All the Strips”.
