Rowlingrevealed in a recent interview with Closer magazine (via CNN Brasil), that now, at 83 years old, he faces back problems that reduce his mobility.
She said she deals with spinal stenosis — a narrowing of the spinal canal — and needs assistance to carry out daily activities:
“I can’t walk very well and I’m registered as disabled,” the actress explained. “I have two canes and a walker, and they’re really annoying, but I have a mobility scooter, which is really fun.”
She explained positively how the scooter makes her days easier: “It’s like having a new toy. It’s really good for shopping because it has a basket — and I really enjoy riding it around.”
It is worth remembering that, in May 2023, the actress was hospitalized after having a chest infection identified, in October of the same year, she revealed that she underwent a procedure to replace the transcatheter aortic valve in her heart. “Now I have a cow’s heart,” she said jokingly during a chat with the Table Manner podcast.
