Discover the four unique and creative names that Yunjin from LE SSERAFIM uses to nickname the girl group members in her contacts!
The way we save our contacts on our phones says a lot about the type of intimacy we have with someone. In the case of South Korean idols, this is also something common, especially among K-pop groups, since the members usually develop a closeness and friendship since their trainee days.
In an interview with Cosmopolitan Korea in 2022, Yunjinfrom LE SSERAFIM, revealed that he saves the names of the other four members of the group with some unique nicknames. In the case of Sakura It is Kazuhashe uses the nicknames “Kura”, which derives from the last two syllables of Sakura’s name, and “Kang Juha”, a Korean name that Yunjin and the other members chose to Kazuha.
For the leader Chaewon and the maknae Eunchae, Yunjin chose two very unique nicknames. She used “ChaeChaeZzang” for Chaewonwhich can be seen as a more playful and affectionate name, and created “Manchae” for Eunchaesomething close to an anagram of the youngest member’s name.
Furthermore, Yunjin also gave some guesses about how she thinks her name is saved in the members’ contacts. She imagines that, on her cell phone, Kazuha It is Eunchaeyour name must be accompanied by a heart, while in the Sakura It is Chaewonshe believes her name is saved in a simpler form, such as “Huh Yunjin” or just “Yunjin”.
