NewJeans members to sue HYBE, South Korean media says

Following a report on how ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin became responsible for NewJeans, members of the group are expected to take legal action against HYBE

NewJeans will take legal action against HYBE for releasing videos of the group’s members during their trainee phase to the media, as reported by the South Korean press (via Koreaboo).

This is because, this Tuesday, the 23rd, Dispatch carried out a report in order to find out how Min Hee JinCEO of ADOR (one of HYBE’s subsidiaries), took control of the members of NewJeans, as the members were Source Music trainees and were part of the project, started in 2018, that would launch the label’s first girl group, debuting under the group name “N Team”.

In the investigation, screenshots and videos were exposed to prove the information published by the portal, which states that Hee Jin was advised by a shaman who helped her choose the trainees for her first group and, after that, she would have delayed the debut of the Source Music group to take Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin It is Hyein to ADOR and debut them as idols on NewJeans.

After the article’s repercussion, ADOR declared that Dispatch’s information is false, adding that the parents of the NewJeans members will take legal action against HYBE for publishing unauthorized images of the idols.

NewJeans members and their parents are protesting HYBE for the unauthorized release of personal videos and portraits of trainees,” ADOR reported.

The case is still ongoing.
