AFP:

American gymnast Simone Biles arrived in France. And after being installed in the Olympic Village, he does not hesitate to share photos and videos of the place.

Considered one of the best gymnasts in history, Simone Biles came to take revenge at the Paris Olympics. After withdrawing from multiple events at the Tokyo Games due to mental health issues, she arrives in France as a conqueror in what could be her final Olympic challenge. The 27-year-old star was quick to share this new adventure on her Instagram page, which has been followed by more than 7.4 million people. Arriving on July 22, she immediately revealed images of her room and the Olympic Village in Saint-Denis, where the entire US gymnastics team is housed. And yes, the athlete spent his first night on cardboard beds, which continue to be debated…

Life in the Olympic Village

In the photos published on her Instagram account, the young woman seems to have personalized the places. A blanket with a United States flag and Olympic rings, a stuffed toy on the bed, all his clothes carefully stored in the provided (small) dressing room, the athlete looks almost in his element. Ditto for her gymnast roommate Jade Carey.

Still in her stories, Simone Biles posted a video of Team USA’s first lunch in the Olympic Village, all smiles. On the trays, lots of fruit and a dish that looks like spaghetti Bolognese. As for the sports facilities, Simone Biles also showed some of them, as well as a simple view from their dorm.

He was also quick to spot their vintage-looking formal outfits signed by Ralph Lauren. They all took part in the photo games of their followers, wearing the hats for the occasion. It remains to be seen if they found the bed comfortable or if they didn’t like the cardboard either…
