Check out everything that was confirmed in the announcement made by YG Entertainment for the year 2025
Last Sunday, 21st, YG Entertainment shared a video where Yang Hyun Sukfounder of the company, announces the agency’s plans for the year 2025, including comebacks and world tours for its main artists.
The first major announcement in the publication is the return to activities of 2NE1, the iconic second generation girl group made up of CL, Minzy, Park Bom It is Givewho had announced their disbandment in 2016, will however be back to celebrate their 15th anniversary of debut.
To celebrate, the group will embark on a world tour that will kick off later this year in Seoul in October, and will continue to Osaka, Japan, in late November, and the Japanese capital Tokyo in December. The tour will also continue into 2025, with new dates and venues still being finalized.
BLACKPINK, who remain with YG for their joint activities, will also be back in 2025. In the video, Hyun Suk ensures that Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé It is Lisa will make their long-awaited comeback next year, and will start their new world tour.
Two other groups that have also had world tours confirmed by the founder are TREASURE and BABYMONSTER, however, dates have not yet been revealed. With this, this will be the first time in history that YG will have three girl groups active at the same time.
About that, Yang also hinted that 2025 should also feature news for AKMU and WINNER, after the dismissal of the members Mino It is Yoon of compulsory military service.
Finally, Yang Hyun Suk confirmed the so-called “NEXT MONSTER”, the company’s new group that is being prepared, and should be presented to fans next year, however, there is still no information on whether the group will be a female or male formation.
