Located in the heart of Cove d’Azur, this establishment offering Japanese cuisine made with local ingredients opened its doors on Friday 14th June on the Balearic island.
One June morning we leave the unchanging gray of Paris to reach the Balearic Archipelago. As soon as you forget the slightly bumpy landing, you let the gentle warmth of Ibiza wash over you. Head to El Silencio, an establishment located in the heart of Cala Moli, a sunny cove with translucent waters surrounded by cliffs.
Arranged at a waterfront restaurant, where you can enjoy delicious food while looking out over the sailboat-strewn horizon. It’s been three seasons since Chef Mauro Colagreco took up residence in the kitchens of El Silencio. There you can taste addictive patatas bravas, delicious tuna tartare with caviar or even expertly prepared octopus.

“The meeting between Ibiza and Japan”
In the evening, we go to Urusa Terrace, an izakaya that opened its doors on Friday, June 14, a short distance away. Silencio’s Japanese restaurant offers a magnificent view of the bay. We take a seat under lanterns swaying in the wind, facing the blazing sunset. Urusai, envisioned by Arthur Cohen, who already runs the Ojii and Onii-san establishments in Paris, symbolizes “Ibiza and Japan meeting”. Get it, a living space designed like a Tokyo tapas bar offering Japanese cuisine based on local ingredients.
On the menu: shrimp carpaccio with shiso oil, crispy rice, Ibiza vegetable tempura with fermented honey and black garlic, or even smoked tomato with binchotan and miso-wasabi sauce. But also desserts to die for, like vanilla crème brûlée and strawberries garnished with yuzu and white chocolate cream. The menu was developed alongside chefs Yuji Mikuria and Romain Lithier.
The day after this tasting, return to the pool area for a meditation session focused on the theme of joy. A session hosted by Natalie Laurent Richardson, a life coach who fell under the spell of Ibiza fifteen years ago. A chance to find some form of relief as we approach departure. A true taste of summer as Urusai will be open until 1 dailyeh September It’s the perfect excuse to treat yourself to a dream getaway to White Island.
