The sequel to the 2022 hit, ‘The Batman’, starring Robert Pattinson, is expected to hit theaters only at the end of 2026

Although not many details about the production have yet been released, during a recent interview with PopVerse, the actor Andy Serkisresponsible for playing the butler Alfred Pennyworth, revealed the date for the start of filming for the second feature, as well as a forecast for its theatrical release.
“Basically, I don’t know anything about the movie, other than I just found out that we’re probably going to start filming early next year. So if you do the math, it’ll be a year and a half after that,” Serkis said.
Andy also commented that, currently, Reeves is “working very hard on the script”, in addition to praising the filmmaker, and saying that he is eager to bring Alfred to life again.
“I know Matt [Reeves] is working very hard on the script. Matt Reeves being Matt Reeves, the extraordinary filmmaker that he is, I can only assume it will be another brilliant script, because what he did with that first film was pretty incredible. I loved working with Rob Pattinson and I’m really looking forward to playing Alfred once again.”
