Voice actors reveal stories from pre-adolescence and connection to the film’s emotions

In conversation with RECREIO, the Brazilian voice actors of ‘Dijante Mente 2’ revealed some details about the production; check out!

The great success of “Dijante Mente” in Brazil is certainly due, in part, to the quality of the dubbing. The closeness that both the cast and the plot bring to the characters naturally makes the audience feel more welcomed.

With the premiere of the sequence taking place this Thursday, the 20th, the actors Leo Jaime, Eli Ferreira It is Katiuscia Canoro told RECREIO a little about the feeling of participating in the dubbing of ‘Dijante Mente 2’:

Katiuscia (Sadness): “It was the realization of a dream that I’ve had since I made the first film. I was waiting for the second one to come out, waiting all these years because it was a very important work in my life (…) This really is one of my films favorites, and knowing that I’m part of it, that I’m the voice of Sadness, is a gift for me.”

Leo (Anger): “It was an exercise in containing anxiety (…) It was one of the most brilliant films of all time, due to the seriousness it has and the lightness and fun it offers. It’s a very important experience (after watching).”

Eli (Boredom): “I’m a new voice (of a new emotion), and expectations were high, ever since I auditioned (…) I think it (the film) speaks to people of all classes, all ages, so We don’t know if there will be more children or more adults at the cinema, because it’s going to be a big fight!”

Even dubbing three of the emotions, the actors also shared their feelings towards Riley, the film’s protagonist, and their own emotions during the transition from childhood to pre-adolescence:

Katiuscia (Sadness): “I also moved at that time. I had to make new friends, I understood Riley’s mind a lot. I went back to my childhood, to my fears, anger, sadness… boredom too. Kids these days are so hooked on electronics that they don’t accept boredom as an important thing to live and experience creatively.”

Eli (Boredom): “I was very close to anger during my early childhood and pre-adolescence. But not in a rebellious way like it usually is, it was more related among the many things of life’s reality.”

Leo (Anger): “(…) At that age, I was more Sad than Anger. I’ve never been very confrontational. I was melancholic, then I discovered that if I made jokes, I could socialize. Then I became melancholic and funny, which was a strange combination, but it worked for me to come out of my shell and be able to make friends (…) I completely identify with Riley, I think she tells my story.”

Katiuscia, Leo It is Eli They also shared the emotions that they identify most in the second feature, regardless of the characters they voiced:

Eli (Boredom): “Joy (…) I come from a sequence of moments that have brought me a lot of joy!”

Katiuscia (Sadness): “With maturity, I can drive my car and leave all my feelings on the side seat, in the back seat (…) I think that no feelings control me, I think I managed to strike a balance (…) I think that I don’t let any of them dominate me, I’m trying to maintain balance with my feelings!”

Leo (Anger): “I have also tried to welcome everyone. Anger taught me how to deal with my difficulties in confronting, in exposing my anger, it was a huge gain for me as a person (…) Joy too, I think both are fundamental in my day-to-day life. day (…).”
