By placing yet another song on an important Billboard chart, Jungkook, from BTS, achieved a feat never seen before among K-pop soloists
With the single “Never Let Go” reaching 97th position on the Billboard Hot 100 chart last Monday, the 17th, Jungkookfrom BTS, achieved a historic feat, even far from promotional actions, as since December last year he has been fulfilling mandatory military enlistment for men in South Korea.
It turns out that the idol has become the first K-pop soloist ever to chart seven songs on the chart that ranks the most popular tracks in the United States!
This is because, in addition to the track dedicated to ARMY (BTS fans), Jungkook scored the OST “Stay Alive” from “7 Fates: CHAKHO”, released in February 2022; collaboration with Charlie Puth “Left and Right”, which arrived on music steaming platforms in June of the same year; in addition to the single that marked his solo debut, “Seven”; as well as “3D”; collaboration with Kid LAROI It is Central Cee“Too Much” and “Standing Next to You”.
The Hot 100 wasn’t the only chart “Never Let Go” entered! The track also debuted at No. 3 on Billboard’s Digital Song Sales chart this week, becoming the third best-selling song of the week in the US.
It is worth remembering that “Never Let Go” was released on June 7th as part of the ‘BTS FESTA 2024’ celebrations, an event held during the first fortnight of the month to celebrate the 11th anniversary of the boy group that debuted on June 13th. Remember!
