32 years later, in March 1969, another event was held to commemorate yet another character immortalized on the sidewalk of Grauman’s Chinese Theatre. The legendary Beetle known as Herbie, famous for the film “If My Beetle Talked”, left his permanent mark by rolling his tires on fresh cement. The Volkswagen Beetle car was driven by Don Knotts It is Dean Jones during the moment, they also had the idea of promoting the film in this way.
Ninja Turtles
In celebration of the premiere of the film “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mayhem”, Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello and Michelangelo immortalized their paws on the sidewalk of the TCL Chinese Theater, the same one where Garfield held his ceremony. The cement was customized in the shape of pizza slices, referencing the favorite food of pop culture’s most famous group of reptiles.
