The “Inside Out” franchise will get a second film to follow Riley’s emotions after new changes later this month
“Inside Out 2” hasn’t even hit theaters yet, but the director Kelsey Mann He already has ideas to fit into a possible second sequence, as revealed by him in an interview with Comicbook.
I love this world. It’s a great world to play in, and ideas just come from playing in this world, both for locations and for [novos] characters. There are so many ideas from not just the first movie, but especially this one, where I’m like, ‘That’s a really fun, clever idea.’ I don’t know how it fits into this particular story, but it should be used at some point.”
Afterwards, the filmmaker revealed that one of the discarded ideas, which could be used in the future, is the park called Procrastination Land (island of procrastination, in free translation).
This is the island I definitely own, especially as a teenager. It was an island that had a big sign that said ‘Procrastination Island’ and then it said ‘Coming Soon’. And Anger said, ‘When are they going to start building that place?!’. They made no move on it. It’s such a funny idea. We had a hard time figuring out why in this particular story I’m not going to tell you all about it, there are some other really funny things. So I think, ‘This has to be used in some way in the future.'”
