Tracks from the collection were recorded live on the BBC on July 2, 1968 – a few weeks after Armstrong toppled pop singer Cliff Richard from the top of the British charts.

For the first time since 1968, previously unreleased recordings of Louis Armstrong will be published. A broadcast of archived performances by American jazz musician Louis Armstrong will take place in July on the BBC.

Louis Armstrong’s new, unreleased collection will include the numbers “The Bare Necessities”, “Mack the Knife” and “Hello, Dolly!”. There will also be five unreleased recordings:

  • (“Back Home Again”) “In Indiana”;

  • “You will not walk alone”;

  • “Ole Miss”

  • “Blueberry Hill”

  • “What a beautiful world”.

Let’s remember that the most influential drummer of all time was named before.
