The meme dog that made the Doge meme famous and became the face of the Dogecoin cryptocurrency has died. The death of the dog named Kabosu was reported by owner Atsuko Sato.
A Shiba Inu dog lives in Japan. Kabos is 18 years old.
“Today, May 24, at 7:50 am, Kabosu slept soundly. Kabosu is now resting,” he wrote.
In December 2022, Kabosu was diagnosed with acute lymphocytic leukemia, which is a malignant blood tumor, and acute cholangiohepatitis, an inflammation of the liver. The dog’s owner said Kabosu was in critical condition.
