30 years after the premiere of the renowned Brazilian children’s program “Castelo Rá-Tim-Bum”, find out where the actors are today
On May 9, 1994, exactly 30 years ago, “Castelo Rá-Tim-Bum” premiered on TV Cultura. The children’s program, which entered the history of Brazilian television and became one of the most loved by the public, had only 90 episodes, coming to an end in 1997.
The production follows the story of Nino, a 300-year-old boy who lives in a magical castle in the city of São Paulo alongside his uncles Dr. Victor and Morgana, two sorcerers who are over 6 thousand years old. Feeling very lonely, the boy casts a spell asking for friends, which ended up attracting three children to his grand house: Biba, Pedro and Zequinha, who become his best friends.
Despite its unreleased episodes being shown until 1997, due to its resounding success, “Castelo Rá-Tim-Bum” continued to be rerun on the channel for many years, being loved to this day by different generations.

1. Sérgio Mamberti (Dr. Victor)
Before joining the cast of “Castelo Rá-Tim-Bum”, Sergio Mamberti He was already a well-known and respected name among the public. After the program, he participated in major TV and cinema productions, such as “O Clone”, “Flor do Caribe”, “Da Cor do Pecado”, “The Man Who Challenged the Devil”, “Xuxa Abracadabra”, among others.
Furthermore, during the first administration of President Lula, between 2003 and 2007, he also held important political positions in the Ministry of Culture. Unfortunately, the eternal Dr. Victor passed away in 2021, at the age of 82.
2. Rosi Campos (Morgana)
Like this Sergio, Rosi I also had a fairly established career before participating in the children’s program. After “Castelo Rá-Tim-Bum”, she was also present in other important productions, such as “Da Cor do Pecado”, “A Dona do Pedaço”, “A Favorita” and more.

Now 70 years old, the actress once again gave life to one of her memorable characters. Since 2023, Fields plays the sorceress Morgana in the spin-off “Morgana and Celeste”, broadcast on TV Cultura, in addition to being available on the channel’s official YouTube profile.
3. Fredy Allan (Zequinha)

5. Cynthia Rachel (Biba)

6. Cassio Scapin (Nino)
In the series, our 300-year-old boy was played by Cassio Scapinwho pursued a career in acting after finishing in 1997. Since then, he has participated in productions such as “Deus Salve o Rei”, “Sítio do Pica-Pau Amarelo” and “Os Mutantes: Caminhos do Coração”, in addition to having a well-established career in theater.

Cassius, who is now 59 years old, has also returned to play Nino in the theater. In celebration of 36 years of his career, he appeared between 2017 and 2019 with the play “Admirável Nino Novo”.
