The Sheffield DocFest festival will take place in Great Britain from 12 to 17 June. The lineup will be presented within the First Feature Competition programs for first feature-length documentaries.
A film about former world heavyweight boxing champion and current mayor of Kyiv Vitali Klitschko will open the 31st British documentary film festival Sheffield DocFest. This is discussed on the festival website.
The documentary Klitschko: More Than a Fight was created by Scottish director Kevin MacDonald.
The film explores Klitschko’s path from the ring to the highest post in the Ukrainian capital. The director focuses primarily on the boxer’s political career, which began during the Revolution of Dignity and continues to this day, when he is forced to accept the challenge of a full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.
The film draws on extensive archival and personal footage alongside new interviews, telling the brothers’ story from their Soviet childhood to their athletic careers to their current role in defending Ukraine’s sovereignty.
We remind you that the film has been released House of the Word. Endless Romance. He talks about the writers of the executed revival.
